The She Persisted March and Rally is a completely youth-organized event hosted by Project Femme- by President Sofia Sears and by Ambassador Gabrielle Faulkner. The event will take place on August 26th at Pershing Square in Los Angeles, on National Equality Day! This rally is meant to be an inclusive, intersectional, and active event meant to not solely march but to engage with activism and activities. This is a march for feminism, but more than that- for intersectionality, meaning that we must fully recognize that oppressions in all manifestations, including racism, transphobia, homophobia, classism, xenophobia, and all prejudices stirring within our country are utterly unacceptable and are all feminist issues, regardless of who you are. We will have activist speakers, activities, and workshops, and will be marching to City Hall! We really hope you will join us in bringing young and old, impassioned activists together in solidarity and actionable support. If you'd like to volunteer, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org! We need and would absolutely love for you all to help out and get involved! We'll respond quickly!
We'll also soon be working on making some homemade feminist products with proceeds going to the ACLU and to fund our march!
